Growing up in the Midwest with her grandparents, Hanna was taught how to can and preserve produce from a young age. She spent many summer afternoons processing and filling jars with fruits and vegetables from their small backyard garden and 2 apple trees.
Through a series of intense life events, Hanna was called by God to move to O’ahu in 2021. Slowly over the years, she recognized God was nudging her to use her skills and to glorify Him yet didn’t take the leap of faith out of fear. But after being reminded of her purpose in Christ (to make disciples of all nations and spread the Good News, Matthew 28:18-20), Hanna decided to trust the Lord/His timing and started Momona Spreads late July 2026.
Hanna chose to focus on perfecting homemade fruit spreads because of their versatility and ability to showcase the rich fruit flavors of the islands. She believes that Momona Spreads is a beautiful way to embrace her kuleana here on O’ahu while also creating amazing opportunities to share her faith and testimony in Christ.
